Salton Builders Pty Ltd is a Building and Design Company. We develop drawing documentation and design concepts to suit the renovation, extension, and building of new homes for our broad based clientele.

History

After working as a builder and project manager on various domestic and commercial projects over 30 years, John Salton formed Salton Builders in 2008.

Since then, our team at Salton Builders has built an impressive list of clients and delivered a diverse range of building projects.

In 2008 John also published the book “Get the renovation you really want!”. While the book provides a host of useful tips and processes for home-owners considering a renovation, there’s nothing like the real thing – and our team at Salton Builders continues to deliver innovative and high quality results for all forms of building work on clients’ homes.

People

Salton Builders founder and Managing Director, John Salton, has more than 30 years experience in the building industry throughout metro and country Victoria. This includes seven years sub-contracting as a self-employed builder and project manager and a further seven years experience supervising the construction of new homes with Victoria’s Coldon Homes and Australian Country Homes. During that time John was able to further his knowledge in project management, supervising the construction of up to 15 homes simultaneously.

John has also contracted as a concreter for two years where he gained the necessary knowledge of footings and foundations. He worked for eight years as a building contractor on various domestic and commercial projects including the refurbishment of the Clifton Hotel in Kew. John is also an industry recognized Occupational Health and Safety Representative and accredited Greensmart Professional.

Salton General Manager Paul Webster has completed studies in business management, Interior Design, and has worked as a residential and commercial draftsperson for many years. His background in contract administration, coupled with his experience in drafting and design, makes Paul an important part of the Salton team.

Using our extended design team which incorporates architectural, drafting, interiors and engineering services, our goal is to achieve an individual home, incorporating trends and influences unique to your requirements.

Many clients need more than building assistance, and therefore our service extends to the development of initial concepts – all the way through to providing you with an accurate quote on the work you require. Our drafting and design service can produce the relevant documentation for council and will assist with permits. Of course, we will also tender on plans and specifications you provide.

For any engineering details required, we will coordinate these aspects for you to not only ensure your peace of mind but also meet with all governing regulations to provide a quality construction.
